hi readingivy, i'm sure you will get a lot of pleasure from your new 505. since you are using a mac, i recommend you take a look at calibre, which is a complete library management and format conversion application. it is by all accounts much better than the sony software and... it works on a mac.

kovid goyal, the developper, is a member here so you can find answers to all your questions, and he is constantly improving it. it won't allow you to purchase books from the sony bookstore but you have many other options so i don't think this is much of a loss.
