I found Alf's Applescript software and will try it...

When you say de-auhorise the re-authorise... Are you suggesting doing so for ADE on my PC and Mac to try and get them to use the same ID? And to be clear, my readers are not technically authenticated on my Mac, they are just mountable by USB...
