Hi, Lisa.

Are you hoping to find ebooks at Fictionwise that your Sony Reader will read without converting them? Then you want to look for books with an extension PDF or LRF.

The format "eReader" (which used to be called "Palm Digital Media", and before that "Peanut Press", format) is for reading with a specific software program - eReader program - on computers, PDAs, SmartPhones...but not Sony Reader. (Well, not unless you break the encryption and convert the book to the Sony Reader's LRF format!)

Fictionwise doesn't sell a secure (or "encrypted") format for the Sony Reader. You can find the LRF files for Sony Reader in the multi-format book selections, though.

BooksOnBoard sells the secure Adobe Digital Editions PDF format that the Sony Reader can read.

I think there's been a lot of confusion with Sony "Reader" and "eReader" format - and Fictionwise tries very hard to warn buyers that eReader format books are not meant for the Sony Reader. If you've already bought the book but haven't downloaded it yet, you may be able to arrange a credit back from Fictionwise.

HTH
