I realise that. I put it down to herd mentality and a reluctance towards change.
The maligned metro interface was only an addition. It didn't
replace anything in a meaningful sense. It was virtually Windows 7 with an extra interface that could easily be ignored. Is there something major that you could do in previous versions that was not possible in Windows 8? Was Windows 8 sluggish? What exactly was objectively wrong with Windows 8?
