On the free review copies, they can be removed if it is found out that the reviewer was dishonest and forgot to put the FTC disclaimer.
Not saying the reviewer was dishonest on purpose but might have been accidentally misleading.
The federal trade commission requires that on ANY product that is given in exchange for a review, the reviewer states that they got the product free for a review.
Though I have a confusion. I know some books I reviewed have been unpublished but my review count is the same.
