One thing that has kept me on Kindle Keyboard is the open 3G. I use mine to receive and send email when I am in the country with no internet connection. I actually have several Kindle Keyboards, salvaged and repaired with screens, motherboards and/or batteries from China. I understand that newer Kindles have SIM cards that restrict use to just a few sites. Is this true? Can one take a SIM card from the Keyboard and use it in a PW? I also use the 3G for getting newspapers and books. I was using it during the last couple of weeks to get updates on the Tour de France....
