Well after doing the 'install' and beginning to reboot I had an error box pop up about something couldn't start..shoulda written it down, but didn't ... closed it and it went ahead with the reboot and now is 'Upgrading Windows' .....

Worst case I've totally hosed my backup laptop and will have to reinstall Win7...
