Would much rather see an official Sony firmware update than a community patch. Hoping Sony had a good enough Christmas that they kick it up a notch and crank out some needed updates for the readers and the library software.

I'm fairly new to this forum, but I have never heard of optomizing files before loading to the device. Would you, or someone else, please enlighten me as to how this can benefit the appearance of books on the reader? Thanks.
