calibre officially supports i686 and x86_64 only. That being said, the code should work just fine on ARM, but you will have to compile and install it yourself. Make sure your dependencies are up-to-date.

I suggest NOT using debian. Use ArchLinuxArm, which is far more up-to-date -- and also has a pre-compiled package for calibre.
