All it means is the updater can't connect to the servers because something is usurping the authentication. It usually goes away eventually.
You have two choices: run the media app from the link above or keep on waiting and cussing.
(MS never promised everybody would get it today. The download link is for those of us unwilling to wait our turn like good little children. Which I'm not.
