It's not my favourite Clarke book, far from it, but he was one the three greatest sci-fi writers of the 20th Century. His droppings are better than most writers' masterworks.

To say nothing interesting happens is, as my list proves, silly You should have stuck with your subjective assertion that you find it boring.
AC Clarke is a good writer. But every writer can have a dud and this is Clarke's dud.
