But in this case I can't claim to be the first who wants to edit content on his Kindle. A simple search on the web for "edit kindle content" will result in close to 4 million hits. MobileRead Forums itself had posts for "Tools for Editing Kindle .mobi Files? as early as Mar 13, 2009.
And I do not expect my Kindle to make my coffee, or inflate my car tires. What I do expect of any product that is does what it claims it was designed for. The Kindle (DX) design has always envisioned the capability to create, store, and manage your own documents. After all there must be some reason Amazon included a keyboard on the device.
Just because there are hits for Edit Kindle Content does not prove they wanted to do this ON the Kindle.
