If you use calibre, even if just to convert files and have them organized on your PC, it is easy to just turn on the content server. While the content server is running you can use the OPDS function on Koreader to access the "Local calibre catalog". (This way you don't need to have caliber maintain a file structure on your device, like with the "Calibre wireless connection" approach.)

I use it as part of my workflow for getting a new ebook. Once I have purchased the new ebook, using my PC, I add the download file to calibre and do whatever work it needs there. Then I can turn on the content server. Then I can use OPDS in Koreader and put the file where I want it in my file structure.
