chaley - I have a column as you describe for subtitles and straplines, the completion box is irritating, an instance of what I call 'too clever by half' behaviour.
Two stories can have the almost the same strapline yet otherwise have no relationship with one another whatsoever. They're often word plays on the same well know quotation - that's what sub-eds do.
