I bought the Kindle version (can't beat that, especially with slo-mo credits) but I want to hold off on the WS half until the next time a $10 coupon or a B4G$10 comes up.

I've "always" assumed that they are the usual price. But, at the moment, I can't think of a way to test that assumption. I'm sure that someone else in Mobilereader Land has a lot more knowledge about such things, perhaps they'll share it.

Of course, the WS deals are made up of two prices--the price of the ebook and the price of the WS stuff. With the ebook being a component of the total price, when it goes down in price, the whole deal goes down in price. What I cue in on is a drop in an ebook's price. Then, I will check to see if it offers the optional WS arrangement. If it does, and the total price ends up being an especially great deal (to my hyper-frugal way of thinking), I will consider posting it. Sometimes, even with the drop in the ebook's price, I don't consider it a good deal. Sometimes it is because the price of the ebook is still so high that the WS deal is still high, and sometimes it is because the WS deal component is so high (I quite often see the price of $12.95. I'm sorry, but I do not pay that much for an audiobook, even with the ebook thrown in and the modest (in my opinion) benefit of syncing being a part of the deal) that no matter how cheap the ebook gets, it's still going to be too expensive to my sensibilities.

Well, the above wasn't strongly connected with your question, and I'm sure that it was more than you wanted to know.

Thanks for your encouragement about posting the WS deals.

Oh, about holding off on buying the WS component after you've already bought the ebook . . . . someone months ago mentioned that the price of that part can change--up or down--and, too, Amazon and/or the publisher can take the WS part away, for whatever reason. Sometimes, after buying the ebook, I will hold off from buying the WS part for one reason or another, but I'm always reminded of those possibilities and know that I'm taking a chance.
