This is saying that the database on the Kobo device itself is corrupted; the only real way to solve this is to recreate the database, which can either be done by doing a reset on the Kobo (wh9ch will force you to reapply any upgrades AND redo the setup) or logging out from your Kobo account on the device (which will force you to re do the setup).
The logout from the account can be done from Settings | Accounts and then selecting Sign out from the Kobo account section.
