A few things to try on your Android screen.

1. Reduce brightness (your reading app should let you control this)
2. Try "night" mode - this usually reverses the contrast so you are looking at white or green text on a black background. I find this easier to read in bright light and also works great to let me read without disturbing my partner late at night.

If you still find the glare tiring, you should try a dedicated e-ink reader. Tablets work fine for me, but there are a lot of people who find e-ink easier on the eyes.
