I feel that they probably wouldn't pursue it
at all if they were truly getting it wrong more often than not. There's no advantage for them to remove more valid reviews than bogus ones (unless they're trying to unload crap that needs all the help it can get). An algorithm that "gets it wrong more often than not" is certainly not in keeping with Amazon's track record thus far. Love 'em or hate 'em; they rarely fail miserably at what they try to achieve. Still, there's always a first time, I guess.
