1. Getting jailbreak on KV is analogously to getting jailbreak on KPW2, right?
2. Can I use this adapter (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/1PCS-...127054200.html) with this level shifter (https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=162775) ?
3. The battery does not need to be taken out during manipulations, right?
4. Can I disconnect the wire after getting root?
Excuse my bad English is not my native language.
Thank you.
1) Yes.
Indeed, the same files are used.

2) If the documentation on that page is correct, you don't need a level shifter, just provide a 1v8 reference on the "vio" pin.
Where it says: "either 3v3 or 5v0" that is when using the internal reference. Further down the page, it mentions 1v8 using an external reference.

3) I recommend that you unplug it while making the electrical connections.

4) Yes.
You only need the serial port long enough to run the shell script from the jail break package.

Notes:
*) The subject of where to obtain the 1v8 reference voltage -

**) I think that is posted here, somewhere, for the Voyage
(Note, it may not have a KV prefix tag, it was very early that the jailbreak of the KV was described)
**) You can use an external battery, any battery with Li/Fe chemistry provides 1v8 terminal voltage open circuit.
I have a post here, somewhere, with pictures, of an example.

*) The connection points are very tiny. If not skilled with soldering (solder paste and hot air recommended, soldering iron is possible) - then you will find posts here where people just tape the wires into place.

*) The pad layout of the serial port has not changed since the K4.
Only its location on the motherboard changes.
You can find a lot of pictures and information attached to the posts of my "KT2 Exposed" thread.
