If by sync you mean the words in the kindle book are highlighted as the narrator says them on the Audible book, yes I'd need a Kindle Fire to do that.
I'm fine without them being synced, I just want to be able to play both of them at the same time on the same device. I've found many tablets that could do the trick, I'm having a hard time deciding though.
My first choice right now would be a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook, then an Ipad, then a Nexus 7. I just really can't decide.
I had a Fire HD 2 and really didn't like it. I just want a simple ereader - not tablet - with audio capability but since I havent found anything like that, I'm very wary on the kind of tablet I get since my first and only tablet I didn't really like.
