Yeah, WT. The women in my family tend to avoid Drs. I can't even get my mother to check her blood pressure and she is on blood pressure meds, as am I. She will (almost literally) not go unless she is bleeding to death. My grandmother had a cousin who lived into her 90s and had to be forced to go after breaking a hip.
I have that impetus, myself, but I know very well that, with TS and BAV, I certainly won't make it to retirement age without keeping tabs on my health. It is true I still don't do it like I should but I force myself to go in.
