They are such a great innovative company (apple of course, but I am talking about sony here) that it's no excuse for me to make such beatiful machines and cripple them with moronware like vista, at the point I am in for example (and I am sure a lot of people in the bussiness) I 've so much had it with anything microsoft that if god himself ressurected leonardo and had him built a device with a hand for stylistics by michaelangelo, IF it run ms crap, instead of osx, I d much rather go for the base mac mini instead. Most of us have had it with these guys, the impossible prices they ve had us pay over the years, the stiffling of innovation, the bloatware, the awful community they got (epitomized by the zune guy), the top to bot backwardness, everything....

they are still, jesus christ, at the point where they haven't implemented internet explorer to save as in the background, and you have to sit and watch a dialog box of the page being saved while you wait to resume your browsing.... They have disabled ctrl -s functionality to save in ie as with pretty much every app because as they claim in their blogs that would by default mean saving on the server which wouldn't make any sense. We are talking about prime time idiots here, nothing less, they are screened at microsoft it seems to be like that....

In any case most of the it community is turning away from this sad joke that is a ms into be it the linux distros, os x, or even solaris.
If being the most successful and profitable software company in the world, with a 90%+ market share of the PC market, makes one such a dismal failure, then that's the kind of failure I'd certainly like to be.

I started my own software business in the same year that Bill Gates did. I sure wish that I'd been able to "fail" as well as he did .
