Calibre will not sync with my Kindle

I have been using calibre for some time now and have never had a problem with it so I am not sure why its not working for me now. I tried everything that was suggested in the sticky above and it didn't work for me. I ran the debug and got this :

As you can see it doesn't seem to recognize that it is connected at all. I thought it was my USB cable as I have had some cables that will charge but won't support a data connection. I replaced the USB cable with one purchased from Amazon for the Kindle. Can someone please help me figure out what is going on?


Edit: I got it to work. Turns out that the kindle had an update that I kept ignoring by turning the wifi off. Once updated and rebooted it worked fine.
