What's bad is that if it says "expiring" trying to open it causes the app to close. There is no more access, so expiring might as well say "expired - i.e. S.O.L." At least on my Fire. The book opens on my desk top, but I am hardly going to sit and read a novel at the computer.

My 9 yo ds monopolizes the Kindle Fire so I haven't tried to read one of my Scribd books on it in a while. The expiring books open on my smartphone at least. I just wish that there were a more romance-friendly alternative to Scribd now
