is there a reason for kobo to NOT allow us to search through our own libraries on the website?

it is getting increasing hard to find a book when you have a library with hundreds of books. the site allows you to sort. but there is no sort by author. the only feature that makes it easier is to sort by title. and even then, you have to advance from page to page to find what you want (only if you know the title of the book you are looking for).
