OK, that is what you would see at /mnt/onboard/, the default root for user software.

When you connect your device to your PC, it should show a "KOBOeReader" disk (drive letter), that is also /mnt/onboard on your device (under its OS).
There may also be a new "Removable Disk" (drive letter) listed, if there is an external uSD card inserted in your device. [That is /mnt/sd, on your device.]

Can you find where you put your ebooks using your PC's explorer/finder?
