I've read of stability issues with every major brand/model of Reader on MR. In most cases it's just isolated cases. No Reader is perfect.

The fact that you personally haven't experienced such issues is irrelevant. It is well-known that
on average Kobos are less stable.
Individual experiences will vary. Take the aggregate instead.
