Reading The Various Haunts of Men by Susan Hill, the first in the Simon Serrailler series. It's a crime novel about the disappearance of a number of people from a quiet cathedral town in England, though much of the focus is on the lives of the characters, rather than the crimes themselves.

It's unusual in that it is known as the Serrailler series, yet Simon has barely made an appearance in the book, most of the story being told from the perspective of either his sister or one of his work colleagues, a female Detective. Good stuff though, and I will definitely be reading more in the series.
