And that is all they care about.

Its cheaper to just outright buy that one book then. Heck, I can easily get 2 books bought from publishers for the price. Most of the avon titles and many others cost only 4.99 and go on sale here and there.
Its also the overall treatment they giving out. Now outright lying to the customers. They were able to send a email to the publishers, they could have come up with something honest to the readers. Its this underhanded way they going about this that is really making me mad. I just paid for this months subscription with them, so I have a little time to go through my collections and write down my wishlists before I cancel.
I may be desperate to read, aren't all readers?

. But I am not desperate to stay in a service that doesn't fulfill my needs and especially one that has such disdain for romance readers suddenly. The same folks they been courting like a swain for the last few months.
There is no lack to get books. I'll just shift my reading around. I have TBR piles, I have libraries, and now I have kindle unlimited again.
Funny thing is, I wasn't even using my scribd much lately. I am the kind of subscriber they want. I tried to get at least 4 books read with them to make it worth, but I read none in June and so far none in July. Life got in the way. But I was just about to pick up my reading there again and the stuff I planned is now gone. Oh well.
