Looks like changing

Code:

<a class="([^"]*?)" id="([^"]*?)"></a>

with

Code:

<a class="(.*?)" id="(.*?)"></a>

does the trick.

But why is the former regex working in Sigil and in the Quality Check PI and not in Calibre conversion?
