Collections is an area of Kindles that is very limited. I'm not even sure you can use them without wifi. In short, forget it.

Collections are considerably more flexible on a Kobo. I think you can set them up like Sony collections, but as with all things Kobo, you have to frig with it.

If you install Cool Reader, you can just navigate books via folder / directory just like Prs+, but Cool Reader lacks the font amazingness of Nickle.
