LOL! Yes, I am loath to admit that some of the BEST lessons I ever learned--and those that stuck--were those I learned the hard way, regexing something (like the time I accidentally wiped out an author's italics--and she used them
thousands of times; or the time I accidentally regexed an entire ms into ONE BIG LONG paragraph--that was a doozy...)
