Yet no one company has. That would suggest, as I said, that its not really an issue for the vast majority of customers. Even laptops today are coming with sealed batteries as battery technology advances.
Making a removable battery removes an element of simplicity from the e-reader. For most people an e-reader is a one-trick pony, and so (as I said earlier) the fact they come with between 2-4gb memory isn't an issue for 80-90% of customers. My guess as to removable battery is a similar figure.
Most people who buy e-readers just want to switch on and just read.
Here's the rub I think. People who want a degree of customisation are quite simply in the minority.
I can see where you're coming from, but I think those who produce e-readers play the numbers game and don't see a vast increase in sales for that...
