Some covers don't display in Kindle for Android
A search on the web shows this has been a problem for the Kindle Android app for several years.

The books I have where it won't display the cover absolutely do have covers, I put them into the mobi files when updating the metadata with Calibre, and the covers display when the books are opened using the Kindle software for Windows.

Must be a bug in the Android app, which amazon has spent at least since 2009 not doing a thing to fix.
