Ah, I missed out on that small point.
Perhaps another point I missed out on in this thread:
The PW-3 (which starts to ship in 4 days) will ship with the Bookerly font but not the new layout engine.
The Amazon page for the PW-3 sales mentions (about the layout engine): "Coming Soon --- ...."
The new layout engine + the old fonts :: should increase their ease of reading.
The new font(s) - layout engine :: should not be as effective a change as it otherwise could be (and will be, RSN (tm), according to Amazon).
