I can't think of much content that gets sold on re-writeable media any more. The occasional promotional/fund-raising item such as a branded USB stick pre-loaded with an artist's new album or a back catalog of a podcast - but not much else. Everything is either fixed media - BluRay, DVD, or download/stream.

Come to that the only content sold on re-writable media I remember was cassette tapes - with the judicious application of a little sellotape. My dad used to have a reel to reel tape player and had some pre-recorded reels - I think they could be taped over but I'm not really sure.
