I still buy virtually all my music on distinctly non-rewritable CDs
. The reason, in case you're wondering, is because I buy almost exclusively classical music, and the paper booklets that come in the CD case have invaluable information. Apple
sometimes give you a downloadable version of the booklet if you buy music as a download; Amazon
never seem to do so. Hence my preference to buy the CD.
