You stopped reading my post too soon and missed, "Now, more ebooks have page numbers but I've found once I adjusted, I prefer having the location and the percentage read showing at the bottom of the screen."
I think the longing for page numbers, exept for academicians who need to reference, is more a matter of comfort than anything else.
