Kobo keeps sending me these "just for you" top pick recommendation emails. They are ALWAYS erotica/"romance." I have never purchased anything vaguely close to this genre. To the best of my knowledge I have never even accidentally clicked on such a title. If anything my purchases tend toward military history. I don't think there's a great deal of overlap in the audiences.
Does everyone get these? If it weren't for the fact that they once sent me a 90% "come back" coupon, I'd turn off the email communications for them completely. Spamming people's inboxes with what is basically cheesy porn, with the message, "We know this is what you really want" is not the way to build good customer relationships. Not with me, anyway.
