A 6.8" premium Kindle does make sense. Kobo have proved the demand is there. Kindle users who have dumped the Voyage because of their dissatisfaction with the front-light have generally moved to the Aura H2O, and been well pleased with it. Maybe Amazon will take note. There is no doubt that there is a demand for a 6.8".
Certainly, it makes sense for them to add features to the Voyage to differentiate it from the PW3, as the difference between the devices has become less with the increase in PW3 screen def. The problem with the Kindles is that they are all so similar because they are all 6".
But if they introduced a 6.8" Voyage, would they keep the 6"? And will they drop the price of the Voyage? If so, once again, their already similar devices will overlap even more. A bit of a conundrum for Amazon. I'm curious to see if they will innovate or play it safe and boring.
It is obvious this increase in spec in the PW3 will hurt Voyage sales.
