You have an extremely short memory, Jon. You repeatedly assured us, with your profound insight, that the Kindle Keyboard (K3) would
never be able to read KF8-format books, and then what happened? Amazon released a firmware update for the K3 to allow it to read KF8 files. Amazon have a far better track record of updating the firmware of older devices than most other companies do.
It's a bit much to expect a firmware update for the DX, though, which is essentially a Kindle
2.
