If Sony is gettimg his 505 and Amazon its Kindle on the german market, than it will be the same like it was with the itunes-store.
But that is only my opinion.

I agree with you. As far as I know, Sony will launch the 505 in spring 2009. Iīm sure people will buy it and the number of Germans reading ebooks will increase.
