Although, it kinda reminds me of when I was a kid, and I'd be waiting YEARS for the next Robert Jordan book in The Wheel of Time to come out. Selfishly, I've always thought that maybe he'd have had time to finish his own series if he hadn't written that Conan book...
But at least we can count on Jim to come out with at least one book per year, so we're not waiting and waiting and waiting.

AFAIK Jordan stopped writing Conan stories before he started the Wheel of Time. The books just took longer and longer to write. To be fair, even for Sanderson it took quite some time to write the last volumes and his writing speed is really high.
I don't mind a book a year or even a book every year and a half, as long as the quality is great. I'd rather wait some more, than to read a mediocre Dresden book...
