Since it was the free title for the day it worked but treated me like I didn't have an account. After the preview streams it asks if you want to continue. If you say yes the title gets added to your account.

I click download on the first screen, then I hit play for a few seconds, then pause. Then I go to "My Books," where the title shows up at the bottom as a purchased book. (P.S. I've done this using the app.)
