The Cybook Orizon has such a sensor (which can be disabled). I was quite disappointed to find out the Kobo Aura doesn't (and it doesn't even support manual rotation), I'd like to read my comic strips (ePub format) in landscape.
The possibility of automatic rotation was the reason I decided to leave all illustrations in their natural orientation in my books.
