There have been many reports about the Aura having less sharp text compared to the older Glo in the Kobo forum. The thinking is the capacitive layer combined with the light layer is the cause. Many have also seen a sort of scratch-pattern more noticeable along the top of some Auras that adds to it that you don't see on any other reader. I don't own an Aura (I hate capacitive touch, doesn't always play nice with my skin), but so many reports can't be wrong, and since Kobo readers have had sharp text before with all their infrared devices, assumption is whatever is different is likely to be the cause.
