So, how do you get a PDF downloaded from Kobobooks directly to the device?

On external SD:No
Steps to reproduce:
  1. Tap a PDF to open (50 to 100MB), and wait, and wait, and wait....
  2. zoom in out, scroll around & turn pages
Current result: Very, very, slow opening, turning pages, and zooming
Workaround: Install Firmware 3.2.0 or lower.
I'm sorry, but "and wait, and wait, and wait...." is not a bug report. That just says you thought it took to long. It might just be that you are less patient than other users. If this is a reproducible problem, time it and report that. That helps the rest of us work out whether we see it or not.

As a test, I tried a 136MB PDF on my Glo running 3.16.0 and my son's Glo running 3.15.0. On both, opening the PDF takes less than 5 seconds. There is some variation depending on the page the book is being opened to. It is pictures and a description on alternating pages. Opening to the description page is noticeably quicker than the picture. The same goes for page turns. It's not fast, but it isn't interminably slow.

The next size down I have is 21MB. This is graphics heavy manual for my TV. Again, it isn't fast, but, nothing is taking three seconds on either firmware.

From here, there doesn't seem to be an issue. Yes, bigger PDFs take more time than smaller, but, that is to be expected. So, maybe it is something different in the books we are testing. Higher resolution images would be an obvious cause, but DRM might have an affect, or complicated text layout. Is there anything different about your books?
