I agree, they over did the self preservation to the degree that it seemed like they were paranoid. Not just a walled garden but a fortress with a moat around it. Lol. They kept adding things to keep the enemy out. However they also treated their customers the same way.
It was like a constant reminder that it's our stuff and not yours. Enter if you dare ! I don't think many people liked it in the end. Sales dropped with each new condition placed on customers.
