Oh, c'mon! Don't you remember the good ol' days when you could buy a book sight unseen and just know that it would be great? And for the one or two in a million that weren't; I for one, took great comfort in the fact that the book I was thoroughly hating was, at least, grammatically correct and the words were spelled right. Made it easier to keep slogging through it to the end.
