Perhaps you might like to try cribbing from the websites of some talent agencies?

They usually have a fairly consistently-formatted selection of headshots with a decent variety of "character types" and occasionally additional still photos and audio/video clips in costumes and such that might help you visualize stuff. (Plus, you might discover a favourite new actor whose work you can check out!)

For example, here's a Montreal-based talent agency that has male and female and child actors with extra photos and videos, and here's a Danish one that's also got "ordinary" scriptwriters and directors alongside their actors.

If this seems like the sort of thing that might be useful to you, there's a bunch more agencies listed via the ACTRA pages for Alberta and Montreal, and I'm sure it'd be easy to google for more.
